Labour Minister announcement on OJT Registration

Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.

The Minister of Labour and Small Enterprise Development, Senator the Honourable Jennifer Baptiste-Primus has announced that registration for the Ministry’s On-the-Job Training (OJT) Programme has begun.

All young persons between the ages of 16 years and 35 years are encouraged to register.

Registration centres are located at the Ministry’s Offices at Tower C, International Waterfront Centre, Wrightson Road, Port of Spain; Anva Plaza, Tunapuna; St James Street, San Fernando and Connector Road, Chaguanas.

The Minister calls upon all our young citizens within the specified age group (16-35 years) to take full advantage of the opportunity to be exposed to the intricacies of practical workplace experience made possible through the Government’s two year OJT programme which is all in an effort to empower them to take their rightful place in the world of work.

It is the expectation of the Minister that the nation’s young persons embrace the opportunity and register within the coming weeks.
