FairShare Programme FAQs

Who can apply to the FairShare Programme?
For a business to qualify for the FairShare Programme, it must be registered with the Ministry of Legal Affairs, have no more than 25 employees and less than or equal to $8M in revenue. 

How do you apply for the FairShare Programme?
Complete the application form on the online portal at Or hard copy forms are also available at all offices of the Ministry of Labour and Small Enterprise Development, including the FairShare Office. MSEs are also required to submit copies of all supporting documents. 

How can a Ministry/State Agency post a contract opportunity on the FairShare portal?
Ministries/State Agencies have register with The FairShare programme at and create a profile that will allow them to post contract opportunities. The Ministries/State Agencies are also able to do selective tendering through the FairShare portal. They are responsible for checking their profile for responses from the MSE. 

What other services does the FairShare Unit provide?
FairShare partners with different institutes to provide training and certification for MSEs in different sectors. One of these partnerships, with the Trinidad and Tobago Bureau of Standards (TTBS), developed the FairShare Assisted Standards Training (F.A.S.T). This is an online training tool that permits, over the period of four months, the understanding and implementation of the standard TTS 626: 2013 – Good Management Practices for all FairShare certified Micro and Small Enterprises.

What additional documents are mandatory for procurement?

  • A police report of good character of key personnel 

  • Three reference letters according to the FairShare template 

  • A signed and stamped declaration for all documents from a commissioner of affidavits.

Does FairShare provide loans?
FairShare is not a loan or grant; it is access to information on contracts.
