Ms. Sangeeta Boondoo is the Senior Legal Officer at the Ministry of Labour and Small Enterprise Development. In this position she is able to work on her goal of creating the conditions that allow all to reach their full potential and participate and prosper in a just society.
During her career, Ms. Boondoo has represented the Ministry and the Government of Trinidad and Tobago at various national, regional and international conferences and meetings. She has also led the Ministry’s Labour Legislative Reform Project, overseeing the conduct of stakeholder consultations and the preparation and finalization of policy position papers.
Ms. Boondoo is also a member of the Industrial Relations Advisory Committee, the Minimum Wages Board and the ILO 144 Committee and other committees within the Ministry.
An attorney-at-law with ten years of practice, Ms. Boondoo holds a LLB (Honours), LEC, LLM (Merit) and certificates from the ILO International Training Center, Turin, the UWI School of Continuing Studies and the International Law Enforcement Academy, Roswell, New Mexico, amongst others.
Ms. Boondoo enjoys photography and having had one of her photos already published, she is hungry to publish more photographs. Ms. Boondoo is also an avid reader and recommends “No Mud, No Lotus” by Thich Nhat Hanh.
